You never know where a mushroom might be hiding, and the less you trust your ego the more the forest trusts you. This piece explores the ambivalent relationship between humans and fungi, where hope and disappointment are separated by a single cap. Be careful! As Mikhail Prishvin once wrote: "There’s no need to search—your mushroom is always looking at you."
