Season 04. Cyber-Femin-Club

ANTI-EGO; EXTRA-BODY

Ksyusha

A soundtrack for a journey across the internet by a ghost-like essence in armor that has the utopian aim of infecting and diluting dominating structures and capturing new cyberterritories. This epic begins naturally with several minutes of the sound of a 1990s modem and gradually immerses the listener in an abyss of gurgling and disintegrating code, in meaningful excerpts of cyberfeminist texts spreading like a rhizome, and, thanks to psychoanalytic techniques, helps them to sense their own body in another way.

Bio

Ksyusha is a duet of composers Apollinaria Kaspars Settima Tassa and Ksenia Kruchinski. The project came about through improvisation and was inspired by cowboys, nature, the film Brigade, Clint Eastwood, the work of Kenneth Anger, spaghetti westerns, and giallo. Ksyusha plays mystical, village kraut-rock with overloaded bass riffs, a hissing drum machine, and synthesizers.
